Fight of the Fittest


Divisions and Standards

It may be your first competition, or you may be a seasoned professional. Regardless of which division you choose, you are guaranteed a weekend of fun and excitement. CF3 Sanctioned Division - Elite Individual:

3 Days of Competition; Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Two Categories; Male, Female

This division will be comprised of advanced movements and weightlifting capabilities. Elite Individuals competing at Fight of the Fittest this year have the opportunity to represent Team Canada in Malmo, Sweden at the IF3 World Championship August 30th to September 01, 2019. 5 Athletes from the Elite Men and the Elite Women division will comprise 6 Elite Individuals and one Co-Ed team of 4. The 3 Athletes who represent Canada as individuals will receive a travel subsidy in respective order of ranking.

The co-ed team of 4 will be comprised of the 4th and 5th place finishers from the Elite Women and Elite Men division. Should one of the top 3 finishers prefer to compete in the team of 4, they will forfeit their travel subsidy and the next highest finisher will move into their individual spot.

*Athletes competing in this division will have to pay a $20.00 membership fee to the Canadian Functional Fitness Federation*

Standards for Entry:

Male:

  • Deadlift 340lbs
  • Clean & Jerk 220lbs
  • Snatch 175lbs
  • Ability to Perform 10 Unbroken Chest to Bar Pullups
  • Ability to Perform Ring & Bar Muscle Ups
  • Ability to perform strict and deficit HSPU
  • Handstand Walk
  • Female:

  • Deadlift 220lbs
  • Clean & Jerk 145lbs
  • Snatch 110lbs
  • Ability to Perform 8 Unbroken Chest to Bar Pullups
  • Ability to Perform Ring & Bar Muscle Ups
  • Ability to perform strict and deficit HSPU
  • Handstand Walk

  • Masters Individual Elite:

    3 Days of Competition; Friday, Saturday & Sunday

    Two Categories; Male, Female

    For the well seasoned athletes who are anything but over the hill. These 35+ athletes bring experience and a passion for fitness to the competition floor. If you’re over 35, serious about competing in the sport of fitness and believe you’re only as old as you feel, this is your division! Standards for competing in this division would be the same as standards for competing in the Masters RX CrossFit Open division. Athletes should be comfortable with RX weights and advanced gymnastics skills.


    Competitive Teams:

    3 Days of Competition; Friday, Saturday & Sunday

    Two Categories; Male Partners, Female Partners

    This division is for RX athletes looking to test their level of fitness against others with similar capabilities. Teams will consist of two athletes of the same gender. It is highly recommended that teams possess a good work capacity with at least one member competent in advanced gymnastics and/or heavier weight lifting movements. Teams can expect to be tested on classic functional movements. The events will be constructed so that teams can strategize in order to ensure optimal performance.


    Open Teams:

    2 Days of Competition; Saturday & Sunday

    Two Categories; Male Partners, Female Partners

    This division is for scaled athletes who may be new to the sport of fitness, new to a competitive environment or for those athletes who are not yet comfortable using RX weights or performing high level gymnastics movements. Teams will consist of two athletes of the same gender. This is a great opportunity to participate in a professional competition setting. It doesn’t matter if it is your first competition or if you are an experienced competitor, this division will leave you with a feeling of accomplishment.


    Masters Women Teams:

    2 Days of Competition; Saturday & Sunday

    Female Partners 35+

    If you are new to the sport or you are a well seasoned athlete, there will be something fun for everyone in this division. Athletes of all skills levels will be able to compete in this category. Partners must be same gender and be within the age range of their division as of June 01 2018.
