Event description

Athletes will start at the rack with the bar unloaded. On the call 3,2,1 Go! They will have 5 mins to accomplish a 1 rep max Press. Athletes must verbally confirm the weight they are about to attempt with the judge for every lift. Athletes have as many attempts as desired with in the time frame. On the call of 3,2,1 Switch athletes will have a 1 min transition to move to next component. On the call of 3,2,1 Go Athletes will have 5 mins to complete the 4-round circuit. Athlete may start on the bike with the display set to 0. The display must be reset to 0 for each round. The score is the time it took you to complete the circuit. If you were not able to complete the circuit before the 5-min time cap then your score will be CAP + however many reps were completed. The 1 Rep max Press event is worth 100 pts and the 4-rounds circuit is worth 100 pts.

Event description

Teams will start at the rack with the bar unloaded. On the call 3,2,1 Go! They will have 5 mins to accomplish a 1 rep max Press. Athletes must verbally confirm the weight they are about to attempt with the judge for every lift. Athletes may have as many attempts as desired within the time frame. At the end of the 5 mins both athletes’ best lifts will be added together, with the heaviest lift acting as the tie-breaker. On the 3,2,1 Switch! Athletes will have a 1 min transition to move to next component. On the call of 3,2,1 Go! Athletes will complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 5 mins of the circuit. Each partner must complete a full round and alternate rounds for the entire time frame. The display on the Tydax bike must be re-set every round. Partners may be waiting on the bike with the display re-set motionless before their team mate is done their round. The score is the total reps completed in the 5-min time frame. A physical tag is required for partners to switch rounds. The 1 Rep max Press event is worth 100 pts and the 5 min AMRAP is worth 100 pts.


Movement Standards

Press
  • The bar must start at shoulder height
  • The bar must be lifted in one continuous motion to the overhead position where the feet are together and the knees, hips and arms are fully extended
  • The bar must be held overhead with control
  • The use of a dip in not permitted, any knee bend prior too or during the attempt will disqualify that attempt
  • Dropping the weight to floor after an attempt is not permitted and will disqualify the attempt
  • Rep must be locked out before the time cap to count

  • Tydax bike
  • The Tydax bike must be re-set every round
  • You must stay on the bike until 10 calories are achieved
  • Partners may be positioned on the bike with it re-set motionless before their partner is done their round

  • DB Thruster
  • The athlete may hold the dumbbells in front or on their shoulders
  • In the bottom the crease of the athlete’s hips must drop below parallel
  • In the top the athlete’s knees, hips and arms are fully extended with the dumbbells held overhead
  • The use of a DB Squat clean thruster on the first rep is allowed

  • D-Ball clean
  • The d-ball must be lifted from the ground and be rolled over the athlete’s shoulder completely
  • The athlete’s knees and hips must come to full extension at some point during the lift
  • The ball may be rolled over which ever shoulder feels best for the athlete, alternating shoulders is not necessary

  • Russian Kettle bell swings (Teen RX and Open Masters 50+ Teams)
  • The kettle bell must swing through the legs with straight arms
  • The kettle bell must be lifted above the shoulders with the knees and hips fully extended and the arms straight
